What Makes Us
Unique
Stanford Research Park has a dual mission — to promote the commercialization of R&D by bridging the gap between academia and industry while generating income to support the University’s academic mission.
Fostering
Synergies
Promoting Modern Research & Development
Stanford University’s ownership of Stanford Research Park enables us to play a strategic role in curating the tenancy, promoting diversity across industry sectors, embracing entrepreneurs and companies at varying stages of growth, and building a broad array of R&D spaces for companies to lease.
Bridging the Academic & Industry Gap
We host events designed to connect our tenants with resources unique to our location. Our proximity to and affiliation with Stanford University provides our community with access to a pool of professors, researchers, and potential employees that rivals any place in the world.

Focus On
Transportation
Stanford University and Stanford Research Park employers work together to offer valuable information and services to make commute trips easier and better for the planet. Our commuter transportation program supports employees in optimizing how they get to and from the Research Park. Throughout 2023 we have assisted commuters with news, information, and programs related to public transit, shuttles from the Stanford University campus and Caltrain stations, carpool and vanpool programs, as well as providing incentives and support for people who bicycle to work.
Our 2023 commute survey revealed that transit use by Stanford Research Park commuters has returned to 2019 levels and the percentage of employees who bicycle to work has doubled.
One of our most popular events is our annual Bike to Work breakfast each May, where bike commuters gather in the morning to connect with each other and enjoy a hearty breakfast on us. Each year we provide a commemorative Bike to Work t-shirt and popular messenger bag.
Stanford Research Park commuters are eligible for specialized programs such as the VTA Guaranteed Ride Home program that provides a reimbursed ride for those who haven't driven their vehicles to work but need a ride due to an emergency or other unexpected workday or commuting circumstance.
In addition, we are also participants in Palo Alto Link (PAL). A program of the City of Palo Alto, PAL is a rideshare option that lets you book rides directly from a mobile app or by making a phone call. Get picked up in a sleek eco-friendly vehicle to go shopping, dining, run errands, commute, or get to appointments within Palo Alto — all without needing to drive your own car.
